El Paso Chapin assistant coach Larry Morales will take over as head coach of the boys basketball team, while El Paso Chapin interim coach Andi Beltran replaces Yesenia Alarcon as the volleyball coach.

Young, a 2009-10 Parade All-American third-team selection and Gatorade Texas Boys Basketball Player of the Year, is awaiting a decision on an appeal after Providence College — the school with which he signed a letter of intent last November — denied his request to be released from his letter of intent.
