Flatonia coaches Chris Freytag and Shawn Bruns have been named co-athletic directors for the Flatonia school district. Freytag will become the  football coach and Bruns will continue as baseball coach.

The moves followed the resignation of athletic director and head football coach Rodney Dowell in late June. Freytag and Bruns will split administrative duties, with Freytag handling paperwork for the boys program, and Bruns taking care of the girls program.
